The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has issued a comprehensive set of regulatory policies governing the management of Internet domain names in the State of Qatar.
Developed through internal reviews and stakeholder consultations, these policies align with internationally and regionally recognized best practices. They consolidate existing obligations on registrars and service providers, introduce new requirements to promote fair competition and transparency, and establish robust mechanisms for compliance monitoring and independent dispute resolution. The framework also includes consumer support tools such as a Complaints Handling Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, empowering users to seek redress when needed.
The official documents are available for download on the CRA website.
