The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has issued the Consumer Protection Policy for the Postal Sector and the Postal Consumer Protection Regulation.
The policy aims to establishing consumer protection standards and safeguards their rights within the regulated sectors.
The key objectives of the regulation are the following:
- Ensure that postal services provided to consumers are fit for purpose, meaning consumers receive clear and sufficient information to select the right service for their needs and that Service Providers deliver the services as offered.
- Establish an effective complaint resolution mechanism between consumers and Service Providers to address any issues that may arise.
- Protect consumer interests through a robust postal regulatory framework in Qatar.
