Guidelines for Network Neutrality

CRA has developed network neutrality guidelines to ensure that there is no undue discrimination by telecommunications Service Providers in relation to providers of digital media services and establish compliance mechanism for all Service Providers to safeguard non-discriminatory treatment of traffic in the provision of internet access services and related end-uses right to access meaningful content of their choice, in line with Qatar law. It is applied to all stakeholders involved in the provision of digital media services and will support effective competition throughout the supply chain. 

This will benefit digital media companies and the local IT Sector. It will send a signal to potential foreign investors in Qatar that the sector is open and competitive.

It will also promote innovation and attract investment to the ICT sector and support development of the digital economy towards supporting Qatar National Vision 2030.
