Version No. (1) of the Class License for Short Range Devices (SRDs) was issued in May 2010 followed by two updates with Version No. (3) now in force (link to Class License), which specified the harmonized standards to be used for SRDs.
To cope with recent technological developments, the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has decided to update the current version of the Class License to include additional applications of radio-communication devices and to publish the document for public consultation.
The document will be open for consultation for a period of 3 weeks from the date of this notice.
All stakeholders are welcomed to provide their views and comments in response to the content in this consultation. Comments should be submitted by email no later than March 11, 2021 to (type.approval@cra.gov.qa) or spectrumaffairs@cra.gov.qa).
