The documents on this page collectively form the Communication Regulatory Authority’s Competition Framework. The Competition Framework comprises the following elements:
- Sector competition oversight and regulation is a core function for CRA as an ICT regulator. Based on consistent market competition monitoring and analysis, CRA prepares policies, regulations and decisions within its mandate for the communications, information technology, access to digital media.
- CRA carries out regular assessment of market power in designated markets and looks at imposing obligations where necessary in order to safeguard the consumers and public interest and to sustain competitive and growing ICT market. The assessment is done based on developed CRA methodology for market definition and dominance designation.
- CRA intervenes in case of violations of market competition rules and provisions set out in the legislation and within its jurisdiction.
