The fixed number portability service enables fixed telecom consumers; residential and business to change the service provider and choose the best service provider that can meet their needs, while keeping their existing fixed numbers. Consumers who wish to change their service provider, should visit a retail shop of the new service provider they want to switch to or contact their account manager in the case of business customers, as they have to fill out a form and submit the required documents. Then the existing and new service providers will process the request to switch the number from the existing network to the new network and they will ensure minimal disruption to the consumer services during the transition process.
