The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) is participating in ICANN77 Policy Forum, which is organized by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The Forum is held in Washington, D.C., United States of America (USA) from 12-15 June 2023.
ICANN77 Policy Forum features a range of sessions, workshops, and working groups focused on topics related to Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC), policy development, and digital inclusion, among others. This Forum brings together multi-stakeholders; governments, businesses, civil society, and technical experts from around the world to discuss critical issues related to the management and evolution of the Internet's Domain Name System (DNS) and participate in policy-making that governs the technical aspects of the Internet.
In accordance with its mandate of managing and allocating Qatari Internet domains like .edu.qa, .gov.qa, and .qa, CRA ensures participating in ICANN forums. These forums provide a valuable opportunity for fostering dialogue, exchanging perspectives, and exploring collaborative opportunities with stakeholders from around the world. Moreover, through its active participation, CRA stays informed about the latest related international developments, trends, and policies, which contributes to promoting the growth of Qatari domain names and innovation in Qatar's digital landscape.
