The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) is participating in a spectrum management and monitoring training course, co-hosted by TCI International. Inc. and the United States Telecommunications Training Institute (USTTI) from May 1-5, 2023, in California, the United States of America (USA).
The training course focuses on the practical application of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) compliant spectrum management and monitoring techniques and the modern-day challenges associated with them.
During the training course, CRA presented Qatar's experience in radio spectrum management and monitoring during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and presented how it managed this mega event successfully from radio spectrum perspective, pre-event preparatory plans, operational roll out plan, and challenges faced during the event.
CRA ensures participating in such events to equip CRA’s specialized team with additional skills and knowledge to efficiently monitor the use of radio spectrum in the State of Qatar, towards the development of the telecom sector in Qatar. In addition to exchanging experiences with stakeholders and showcasing Qatar’s experiences in the field.
