Fixed Number Portability Consultation Document

The Fixed Number Portability (FNP) consultation document describes fixed number portability and provides the policy for its implementation. The FNP policy is developed keeping in view the key processes and functions that are currently being followed in porting a mobile number.

The Regulatory Authority has  published a draft of the policy together with the consultation document. Some of the key areas covered under policy are:

• Implementation time scale
• Customer Prices
• Order Handling Process
• Porting times
• NP routing solution
• Debt management

The closing date for submission of comments is December 26, 2013. Comments should be submitted by email to numbering@ict.gov.qa by the closing date.
