Public Consultation on Future Spectrum Demand in Qatar

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has developed this public consultation on future spectrum demand in Qatar to fulfil the following goals:

• To provide a general overview of the currently available spectrum
• To provide a general overview of the existing spectrum regulatory framework in place to cater for the current and future spectrum users
• To gather information on the current or future spectrum requirements by consulting with the industry stakeholders 

After analyzing the stakeholders’ responses to this consultation document, the CRA will consolidate the fundamental issues expected to affect the spectrum requirements for key radio communications services in the next five years. As well as highlighting spectrum requirements that could arise for 

radio communications services in the coming five years.

All stakeholders and interested parties are invited to review these documents and submit their comments to the CRA no later than August 28, 2014, via email at Spectrumaffairs@cra.gov.qa.

Comments should reference the number of the question being addressed or the specific section and document if not responding to a particular question. All comments received in response to this public consultation will be carefully reviewed and considered by the CRA.
